Molly Kasperek (she/they) graduated from the George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Communication and from Syracuse University with an M.A. in Television-Radio-Film. Both degrees were a result of watching The West Wing during her formative years and her inability to decide if she wanted to write speeches or screenplays. It turns out she wanted to write books.

Over the years, Molly has worked at the concession stand of her local pool, in law libraries, on the sidelines of sporting events with a camera in hand, and behind the scenes in television development and production. In 2017, Molly’s YA contemporary novel was selected for Pitch Wars. Her short story, Chosen to Love, was a finalist for the 2020 Voyage YA Short Story Award. She grew up in both Alabama and Ohio but her favorite place to live is Washington, DC. She loves YA books, college football, black coffee, Captain America, and oxford commas. Molly currently resides in Pittsburgh where she works as a digital marketing assistant for public libraries.
